Deze exclusieve Châteauneuf met een bourgondische verfijning heeft een volle, ronde smaak met zachte tannines. Pure elegantie van grenache van vijfenvijftig jaar oude stokken, aangevuld met 5% mourvèdre, vaccarèse en cinsault. Les Safres kan nog makkelijk tien jaar verder rijpen, maar presenteert zich nu al als een grote wijn.

Als ‘ie dan ook nog eens van topproducent Le Clos du Caillou is, is het feest compleet.  Les Safres is een blend van witte Rhônedruiven grenache blanc, clairette en roussanne van gemiddeld 40 jaar oude stokken.
